Coffee at the Pepper Lunch

Coffee at the Pepper Lunch
By: Maria Elena P. Bitare

In my dreams I sat at the front door open
Then I saw a boy came in at eleven
He pulled my hips close to his
Then he kissed my lips upon his bliss

That morning, I woke up with a smile
Knowing that he’ll drove from a mile
A knock at my door, I ought to see
The kind of man that I wanted to marry

He pulled me close and kissed my eyes
There I ought to see how fast time flies
I looked at his face and saw my dream
He’s the man in my dream, in his eyes, I have seen.
