Back to Zero

A Poem by: Maria Elena Bitare

My heart was half way beating
Because of your pride that left us dreaming
Our past we couldn’t repair
Hurts and tears we couldn’t repay

It was a sad thing after all
To be burned though our heart’s stone cold
I may have fallen to the ground
Been a fool to think that I’ve been found

Guess I’m back to zero and none
But I’ll start with a smile, not a sign of frown
Though my nights will be colder without you
I’ll wait for the rainbows and erase the blues

About the poem:

I was inspired to write this poem by the words of my friend Tina
She posted a status on FB, and those inspired me.

I'd love to hear from you :)
