The Story of my Love

A poem by: Maria Elena Bitare

Darn all the things that passed
From the first day you came, I smiled
Since then, I had a smile in my life
We sometimes had tears, but at least you’re mine

This might be the life you’ll not choose
Not the love you would have fooled
But what makes us sweet
is what makes us fear

Coldness and life, love and laughter
I know if we do not leave, we’ll grow together
Years may pass, Love may fade
But it was us to keep the flame

The warmth of your love kept me frozen
The sweetness of love made me broken
My fragile heart and your stone cold  heart
They compliment each other
I think they should be together.. forever..

I'd love to hear from you :)
