Memory of the past

A poem by: Maria Elena Bitare

Broken strings and bleeding hearts
They’re the hardest to heal
I know we can now start
Apart from each other’s deal.

I walked down the memory lane
And see your face once again
Those dreams we shared
Now a part of a changing change.

You missed the biggest part of the scene
The settings gone wrong, I left since
You were too numb to see how I felt
I guess you didn’t know why I left.
